Scandinavian Designers® open a studio in Korea
We are pleased to announce the establishment of a new office in Korea. A member of the Loewy-Liao Group, Scandinavian Designers in Seoul will offer both our patented services BestFitDesign® and ThinkingCAPS® creativity services. Our main focus for our breakthrough in Korea will be in the promotion of ThinkingCAPS®, Knowledge Transfer and Strategic Managament.
1st December 2007:
Our first design project was to curate and design an exhibition of Danish Studio Glass for the Danish Cultural Institute and the Danish Arts Agency at the Museum of Art (MoA) at Seoul National University in October and to run from November 2007 - January 2008.
Set in Rem Koolhaas' spectular building, it was part of a major exhibition of contemporary Danish Art that was by the Queen of Denmark during her State Visit to South Korea.

In November we we invited to famous Sookmyung University to give a speech about "Globalisation - Design in Different Cultures" and another at Ewha University Industrial Design Dept about "Creating a Global Brand by Design: Theory and Case-Story".
In December we we invited to the Hangaram Design Museum at Seoul Arts Center (SAC) to give a seminar "Verner Panton, a Designer of the Love Generation" in connection with the Vitra Design Museum and the Louisiana Art Museum's exhibition about our old friend Verner Panton and write about him both in the exhibition booklet and the SAC monthly magazine.
Also in December, Prof Loewy was a member of the jury of the Korea Industrial Design Awards (KIDA) held by the Korea Association of Industrial Designers (KAID) at the Korea Design Centre and Korea Industrial Design Promotion Centre (KIDP).

In April, we held a seminar "ThinkingCAPS® for Early Education" about the Development of Creativity at the Centre of Creative Leadership at the renowned Sookmyung University, Seoul.
1st May 2008:
Our first creativity project is the 2008 GS Executive Conference to be held 29th August for the CEO's of GS Group, one of Korea's major corporations.
1st June 2008:
This spring we have been involved in making a documentary about creativity for Korea Education Broadcasting System (EBS), Korea's most respected educational channel. In his capacity as originator of ThinkingCAPS® and The C-Spot® Creativity Hotspot, Prof Loewy was a consultant to the series which will be aired from 11th thru 13th August 2008. Apart from interviews with him, the filming followed his master class at Seoul National University College of Fine Arts throughout the Spring Semester.
In May, Prof Loewy was invited to be a panellist at the "Creativity through Convergence" Conference at Seoul National University.
Also, as of 1st June 2008 we have been asked to remodel the Museum Shop of the National Folk Museum of Korea and to be consultants to the 2008 Korea Public Design Expo at COEX.
